2010 Abraham Lincoln Presidential Dollar

The first installment of Today's Coin features the 2010 Abraham Lincoln Presidential Dollar. The coin was officially released into circulation on November 18, 2010 as the sixteenth coin in the Presidential Dollar coin series. Don Everhart designed both the obverse and reverse of the coin.

This release follows the "year of Lincoln" experienced in 2009, when the Bicentennial of his birth was celebrated on many different coins, including four different design for the cent and commemorative silver dollars.
